About

I'm Roberto Cavalcanti, a Security Researcher and Penetration Tester focused on Offensive Security and Red Team operations.

My work is primarily focused on Web security, Linux infrastructure and Windows/Active Directory environments.

I have spent many years researching how systems can be compromised, with particular interest in exploitation, privilege escalation, lateral movement and complex attack chains.

Security has always been strongly connected to hands-on research for me. I regularly work with vulnerable environments, CTFs and real-world technologies to understand how offensive techniques actually work beyond theory.

Background

My interest in computers started at a very young age.

What initially began as curiosity about technology gradually became an interest in understanding how systems worked internally, how they could fail and how those failures could be exploited.

Over the years, that curiosity evolved into professional penetration testing, offensive security and vulnerability research.

Linux, Web technologies, Windows environments and Active Directory have been a significant part of that journey.

Security communities and conferences, including Ekoparty, have also played an important role in my development and involvement with the offensive security community.

MyHack.tech is where I document part of that work.

The content published here is based mainly on practical experimentation, security research, attack techniques and technical challenges that I find interesting.

Professional Security Assessments

In addition to security research, I provide professional offensive security assessments for organizations.

My work includes:

  • Web Application Security Assessments
  • Red Team Assessments
  • Active Directory Security Assessments
  • Internal Infrastructure Pentesting
  • External Infrastructure Pentesting

The focus is always on identifying and validating vulnerabilities with real security impact, rather than simply producing automated scanner results.
